School Health Advisory Council
The Hart ISD School Health Advisory Council is a group of stakeholders representing the Hart community. The council is appointed by the Board of Trustees to provide advice to the district on coordinated school health programming and its impact on student health and learning. The council is comprised of parents, community members and representatives from the schools.
The responsibility of the SHAC is to advise the school board on the following:
Health instruction
Healthy school environment
Health Services
Physical Education
School Counseling
Food Service
School site health promotion for faculty and staff
Involvement with parents and the community
Per the Hart ISD District of Innovation Plan, the Hart ISD SHAC meets one time per year. Meetings are held in the High school library at 710 2nd St. The meeting date for 2022-2023 is:
