Flu Shots

Flu shots are available at the Hart School Based Health Clinic.

The Texas Department of Health is monitoring and informing the school district routinely on the recent Swine Influenza A situation.  Please feel to contact the school clinic with questions and concerns. 

 We can all do our part in controlling the spread of illness by following a few simple rules. 

  • Wash hands frequently and thoroughly with soap and warm water or use an alcohol-based hand sanitizer.
  • Wash your hands often, especially after being in contact with someone who has a respiratory infection or with children who get viruses easily.
  • Cough or sneeze into the crook of your elbow or a tissue and properly dispose of used tissues.
  • Use a tissue when you cough or sneeze, then throw the tissue away.
  • Stay home when you are sick to avoid spreading illness to others.
  • Avoid touching your eyes, nose or mouth.
  • If your child is sick with the following symptoms -  PLEASE  bring to the clinic or see your physician before sending to class
  • Stay home if you are sick. Keep children at home if they are sick.
  • Avoid close contact with those who are sick.
  • Wipe surfaces such as bathroom and kitchen sinks, faucets and counters with a mixture of 1 part household bleach to 9 parts water.
  • Take good care of yourself physically and emotionally.
